Dr. Bob Segalman, a Cerebral Palsy quadriplegic, is suing Southwest Airlines for repeated damage to his wheelchair. Due to the damage, he fell out of his wheelchair and broke his leg. He is holding the airline accountable for not properly handling his wheelchair. Dr. Segalman offered to drop the suit if Southwest Airlines would agree to train employees’ on how to properly transfer wheelchairs, and take other preventative actions, but the airline refused.  Please call or e-mail Cynthia (see below) if you can be there, or know someone who may be able to come.

Below is the information on Dr. Bob Segalman’s case.

Rally organizers are seeking both wheelchair users (12-30) and non-wheelchair users (50-100) to attend the November 21st rally at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. There will be speakers, music, and food.

$25  will be offered to  the first 30 wheelchair users that attend the San Francisco 11/21 hearing in lawsuit against Southwest Airlines. Payment will be made at the end of hearing.

Rally will be held at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, in support of the trial against Southwest Airlines for damages to a wheelchair, and injury of a wheelchair user.
