Seniors and people with disabilities are regularly stranded in or out of SRO hotels because the elevators break down and take forever to get fixed. These conditions are not just inconvenient—they are dangerous and violate the civil rights of seniors and people with disabilities to safe access to their housing! Let’s come together and do something about this problem!

The Senior and Disability Elevator Workgroup is a coalition of community organizations and city agencies that have been working on raising attention to the problem of broken elevators in SROs.
