DISABILITY COMMUNITY REPRESENTATIVE
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required. Valid California drivers license and insurance. Two years social, community, communication, or market/sales services related work experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
Responsible for coordinating/accomplishing all outreach activities in assigned geographical area. Representative will provide health care information, member education, and connections to community resources. Professional and or personal experience working with people with disabilities. Word processing and spreadsheet capabilities, organizational ability, telephone courtesy, high degree of patience, interpersonal/communication skills. Knowledge of Medicare and Medi-Cal benefits. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds. Items weighing more than 50 pounds will require assistance when moving. Back support belts must be worn when lifting, pushing or pulling items. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
Salary: $42,000 – $60,000
