    Contact Your Legislators

The Democratic process works best when people take the initiative and make their voices heard. One way to make your voice heard, when it comes to issues you really care about, is by contacting your legislators, and letting them know how their choices affect you, as an individual, and your community, as a whole.  Legislators work for us, and it’s part of our job to provide them with guidance and feedback.  This is what is commonly referred to as “Systems Change advocacy.”

At ILRCSF, we encourage every consumer to participate in Systems Change Advocacy. We will never tell you who to vote for, how to think, or which measures to support, but we can provide you with the resources and tools you need to take the first steps towards making your own voice be heard.
