In addition ILFRC has created and developed a variety of publications for ordering and use by the disability community and its supporters. These materials are available in English and in other languages as specified, as well as can be attained in different formats and on disk as a reasonable accommodation. The following is a listing of the resources available.

PEER COUNSELOR TRAINING MANUAL. A training manual that provides a step-by-step guide to creating a peer based counseling program. Provides a specific 12-week curriculum and covers exercises, role playing, and management. Adaptable to a wide variety of self-help models. $20.00 for people with disabilities and independent living centers. 51 pages (1990). All others - $50.00.
HOW TO PREPARE TO YOUR OWN PASS: A self-help manual designed for consumers. Sections include basic questions and answers about Plan for Achieving Self Sufficiency (PASS). PASS forms for Social Security, and worksheets to assist in planning. $10.00 to San Franciscans with Disabilities. $20.00 to all others. (Revised 1998).
HOW WORK WILL AFFECT YOUR DISABILITY BENEFITS: For SSI and SSDI Recipients: Question and answer format with worksheets and information about irwes (Impairment Related Work Expenses) and bwes (Blind Work Expenses). (Revised 1999). Single copies free with Self Addressed Stamped Envelope.
FAIR HOUSING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. Four Booklets. Content approved by Fair Housing Initiative Program, HUD. Informational booklets for people with disabilities and providers re: rights and coverage under the Fair Housing Act.
§ð A Consumer Guide to the Fair Housing Act. Brief information re: who is covered by FHA, discrimination, reasonable accommodation, complaint procedure, etc. (17 page booklet).

DRAT! (DISABILITY RIGHTS ACTION TEAM) SELF ADVOCACY TRAINING MANUAL Self-advocacy training manual for "How To" workshops (Independent Living Skills Training). Eight workshops completely outlined with handouts and recruitment materials. (1998). Free to independent living centers and other disability rights organizations.

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) GUIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES. Educational booklet for Chinese businesses owners re: accessibility issues with simple and brief text. Chinese only. A QUICK AND EASY GUIDE TO SSI AND SSDI. Questions and answers re: SSI/SSDI benefits, definition of disability, how to apply, how to appeal, amounts received, IHSS (In Home Support Services), etc. English, Spanish, Chinese. 20 pages. HOW TO DEAL WITH PAPER CLUTTER. Brief "how to" booklet re: paper clutter. Includes things you will need, preliminary sorting, and dealing with miscellaneous paper. Distributed free by NEC-West, c/o ILRC. 6 pages (1999).
