We are very excited to announce that thanks to the support from the California Communications Access Foundation (CCAF), ILRCSF has upgraded our Public computer! Any person with a disability may use the computer, free of charge. We offer longer time slots than the public library, and the computer is equipped with up-to-date adaptive hardware and software.
Features of our new computer include:
- Skype software, as well as a high-quality webcam. Skype can be especially useful for consumers who are Deaf because it enables deaf consumers to have conversations with friends, family, and colleagues.
- ZoomText Magnifier/Reader and a 27” Widescreen Monitor, which is intended for people who have low vision.
- QualiEYE software and wireless headsets, a LightIO Touchless Keyboard, a Vertical Mouse and an Orbitrack, which is intended for people who have difficulty using a traditional keyboard and mouse.
- An IntelliKeys keyboard, which can be useful for people with learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, and other disabilities.
Feel free to use some or all of the cutting-edge assistive technology installed on our Accessible Computer. Call our office at 415-543-6222 to reserve a slot.
